Milebit
The problem
- Ordinary navigation does not know the truck's height
- Fuel prices are out of date - every stop is a gamble
- No way to tell whether a $4,000 repair bill is fair
The solution
- Routing - Fits the truck's dimensions
- Fuel - Based on real prices
- Tolls - Added into the route
- Repairs - Shops and price control
Founders
A founder with more than 10 years of programming and IT entrepreneurship experience. Has built two products from scratch and brought them to market, and has taught programming to more than 300 students. From Kyrgyzstan, now relocating to Chicago - moving physically closer to the product's target market.
Teaching
Has taught programming to more than 300 students. This shows an ability to build teams and transfer knowledge - a skill that comes in directly useful at the engineer-hiring stage.
Technical role
At Milebit the core code is written by the CTO, but the founder joins the development process directly when needed and helps speed up tasks together with the team.
Products built
- Finpard - a SaaS solution, built from scratch and sold
- Yola Menu - an app for cafés, built from scratch
Both products were taken from idea to working business. Milebit is his third product - he has already walked this road twice.
Why this project
This is Milebit's strongest argument, and it is expressed most clearly in the founder's own words:
Chicago is jokingly called Kyrgyzstan's eighth province; many of our compatriots there work in trucking. I am from Kyrgyzstan, my co-founder Azizbek lives in Chicago, and we know the fleet owners. Trucker Path does not see these people. It advertises in English, while they sit in a Telegram group. We are from that group.
The distribution advantage is not something that needs to be built - it already exists. The Central Asian driver community in the US is the team's own community.
Why this team
Murodjon Normatov, CTO - 15 years of programming experience. Built orginfo.uz and brought together the UzGeeks community. Has known the founder for 5 years; they met at Asoschilar Klubi (the Founders Club).
Azizbek Khodzhaev, CPO - more than 15 years of entrepreneurship and sales experience. Lives in the US, works directly with fleet owners in Chicago and regularly talks with truck drivers in the US to study their problems. Leads the project's partnership sales channel. The founder's elder brother.
In total the team has accumulated more than 40 years of programming and entrepreneurship experience, and part of it sits directly inside the target market - in Chicago.
