Founders
A specialist who has spent five years working on state-level media content: designer and media specialist at the Youth Affairs Agency, working on presentations delivered to the President and the visual communication of major government projects. Built Jilo AI not from market research but from a problem he faces every day - and is still a daily user of the product today.
Professional experience
Youth Affairs Agency - designer and media specialist, 5 years, present
Presentations delivered to the President and the visual communication of major government projects have passed through his hands. The videos he created for Alisher Sa'dullayev and the agency have been viewed millions of times - individual pieces have 9M+, 8M+, 7M+, 4M+, 3M+ and 1M+ views. In other words, video content is not a field he studied from the outside but the environment he has worked inside every day for five years.
Technical role
Solo founder and the product's sole builder. Despite being a media specialist, he developed every part of the platform himself with AI assistance (vibe coding):
- Web platform (caption.uz)
- Telegram bot
- Adobe Premiere Pro plugin
- AI integrations
Started in January 2026, reached the first paying customer in May - all of it done alongside a full-time job at the agency, outside working hours.
Achievements
The platform has been running for 6 months and is generating revenue:
- 28 paying customers (14 of them active subscribers), MRR ~UZS 1.1M
- 654 registered users, 2,285 videos subtitled in total
- In the last 30 days, 346 active users subtitled 1,183 videos
- The product converts Uzbek speech to text with 98% accuracy - while global tools (CapCut, YouTube auto-captions) run at 40-50% accuracy for Uzbek
Why this project
In the founder's own words: "I still use Caption.uz myself every day."
He experienced the problem himself as a video content creator - subtitling a video in Uzbek meant correcting every sentence by hand. He built the product for himself first, then took it to market. In other words, he is both Jilo AI's founder and the exact profile of its target customer.
He is taking 1 month of leave from the agency for the UzCombinator period; if the product reaches stable revenue, the plan is to move into the startup full time.
