Drone EduTrain is a ready-made classroom package that teaches drone assembly, piloting and programming as a supplementary course in schools, lyceums, technical colleges and universities. Institutions get legal, safe small drones, a teaching methodology with textbooks, dedicated teacher training and service. It is a new form of the robotics class: Robotics 2.0.

$3,299
Price per class package
  • Invested by Yoshlar Ventures and Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (15 Sep)
  • First agreement with Topex school on 10 Sep; first lesson there on 23 Sep
  • In ongoing use in Turin Polytechnic's Fundamentals of Drone Technology & Piloting course

The problem

Drones over 250 g or with a camera or GPS need a permit, so schools have no legal hardware to teach with. There is no systematic drone curriculum in Uzbek, and teachers lack drone skills.
  • Drones over 250 g or with a camera or GPS need a permit to import and fly
  • No systematic drone teaching methodology in Uzbek
  • Teachers lack drone assembly, programming and piloting skills
  • Industry is moving to drones, yet trained specialists are scarce

The solution

A 10+1 package: 10 camera-free, GPS-free drones under 250 g that need no permit, manuals for 10 students, Scratch/Python textbooks, teacher training and service. $3,299 per package.
  • Drones - Under 250 g, no camera or GPS: no permit needed
  • Methodology - Scratch and Python textbooks in 3 languages
  • Teacher training - A dedicated course for teachers
  • Service - Ongoing technical support

The company

What makes it different
Hands-on learning in 3D space
Robotics kits teach movement on the ground; Drone EduTrain teaches flight, aerodynamics and movement in 3D space. It ships as an ecosystem: legal hardware, methodology, teacher training and service in one package.
Who it's for
  • Schools, lyceums, technical colleges and universities
  • STEM learning centers
How it makes money
  • A 10+1 package: 10 drones and manuals for 10 students, plus a program and service for 1 teacher
  • $3,299 per package, with roughly 45% left after costs
  • Next: a lower package price by localizing drone production in Uzbekistan
Market
~$20B
Global market
~$42M
Uzbekistan
AI, STEM and Digital Uzbekistan 2030 reforms have put the sector on the state agenda, while agriculture, energy, logistics and geodesy move to drones with almost no trained engineers and operators available.
Competitors
  • Existing players - Geoinnovatsiya Markazi, Drone Service and others: mostly 2-week piloting courses for adults.
  • No direct competitor - No nationwide ecosystem combines methodology, legal hardware, teacher training and local service.

Founders

Mirzobek Malikov
Founder at Drone EduTrain

Mirzobek has 7 years in drone and aerospace engineering: a bachelor's at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, then a Master's in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in South Korea on a Global Korea Scholarship, researching multi-drone control.

Spent 2024-2026 as Researcher and Overseas Sales Manager at Korean drone maker SEESAW D&U, on projects that won Korean government R&D grants, and brought two large VTOL drones to Uzbekistan for tests, demonstrations and a signed contract.

Selling professional drones in Uzbekistan showed Mirzobek that education, not hardware, opens the market. Returned from Korea in early 2026 to build that education, and now lectures at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.
