An important new step has been taken toward supporting innovations and startups in Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. Agrobank, holding a 100% stake, founded the company Agro Ventures, with a charter capital of 73 billion soums.
Mirolim Abdullayev, an experienced specialist who has served as Director of Investments at Agrobank since 2022 and as Principal at Aloqa Ventures since 2026, has been appointed to head the company.
Agro Ventures will now focus its main attention on the following:
- Launching accelerator and incubator programs to build the agrotech foundation
- Holding hackathons on developing technological solutions in agriculture
- Introducing and financing grant programs for promising agrotech startups and innovative ideas
