The head of state set the task of implementing the “New Generation Entrepreneurs” programme, which teaches business to 40 thousand young people in partnership with foreign universities.
To that end, a delegation led by Youth Affairs Agency director Alisher Sa’dullayev is holding a series of productive meetings in New York, USA:
1. “Cornell Tech”: at a meeting with programme head Fernando Gomez-Baquero, it was agreed to bring the “Runway” programme, which turns PhD scientists into startup founders, to our country through the “UzCombinator” project, and to invite its specialists to Uzbekistan.
2. The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute: with representatives Kit Mauppa and Rebecca Gard Silver, the institute's startup ecosystem was studied and cooperation was established between its platforms and the “Yoshlar Ventures” fund.
3. “Founder Institute”: with representative Reid Hamilton, bringing talented founders from Uzbekistan into this prestigious organisation's 14-week global programme and leading them to international investment were discussed.
4. The “Endeavor” network: with director Evan Bullington, integrating our young founders' projects into the global network and taking them to international markets were considered.
5. The UN Youth Office: in talks with its head Felipe Paullier, it was decided to begin practical steps on internships for our young people at the UN, regional water problems and strengthening young people's mental health.
