From the Umed Rahimov channel.
I took part in the Demo Day of UzCombinator's first batch, where the whole ecosystem gathered; there were quite a few projects, and it was interesting.
As a reminder, at the start of the programme it was announced that almost 1 million dollars would be invested in this batch's startups by Yoshlar Ventures. By the end of Demo Day the total investment came to $975,000, and most likely many also received commitments from the other investors who attended the event.
As for the projects, I can't say there were strong ones, but every team had enthusiasm and promise.
It seems to me that only a handful will make it in the US market, which all the projects are aiming at (and which is the programme's main goal), but that is already a decent result.
Congratulations to the founders on taking part, and I wish them great success!
Great success to the organisers too - their second batch launches very soon.
